Barbershops: one booking page for several barbers

How barbershops with several barbers take online bookings on one page: a service per barber or any free chair, walk-in chairs, rota, apprentices and sick days.

A barbershop with several chairs can take every booking on one Book page. Clients who have a favourite barber pick that barber's service, such as "Skin fade with Karim"; clients who just want a cut pick a shared service whose slots have one place per barber on shift. You can keep one chair out of online booking for walk-ins, open slots only on the days each barber works, and move bookings between barbers when someone is off. The whole shop costs €5/month.

How a team works on one page

Book gives one booking page per business. Each service has a name, a price and an optional description shown on the page, and each slot belongs to one service, sits within one day and has its own number of places. There's no staff field: the barber's name goes in the service name. Slots of different services can run at the same time, so three barbers can each have a 14:00 client.

Services per barber, or a shared chair

Give named services to barbers whose clients ask for them by name, and to anyone who charges a different price, such as a senior barber or an apprentice. Use one shared service for standard cuts where any barber will do: set each slot's places to the number of barbers working that hour, and decide at the chair who takes which client.

Skin fade with Karim45 min1€28

Durations, places and prices are examples: set your own. Keep named services to what clients actually choose by person; a page with every cut repeated for every barber is hard to read on a phone.

Keeping a chair for walk-ins

If walk-ins matter to your shop, don't put every chair online. With three barbers on Saturday, give the shared service two places per slot and keep the third chair for people who come in off the street. Say in the description that walk-ins are welcome and that a booking guarantees the time. When the walk-in queue is empty, the desk can book a phone caller into that chair from the calendar.

Slots that follow the rota

Open each barber's named slots only on the days they work. Slots repeat each week on the weekdays you choose until an end date, so a full-timer and a weekend barber each get their own series. For the shared service, match the places to the number of barbers on shift at each hour: one at opening, three over lunch and on Saturday. When the rota changes, delete the remaining slots of the old series and create a new one.

Apprentices

An apprentice needs more time and charges less. A separate service with a longer slot and a lower price makes that clear, and clients who don't mind a slower cut can book it. Open apprentice slots when a senior barber is on the floor to keep an eye on the work.

What each description should say

In each service description, say what the cut includes, such as a wash, a hot towel or a beard line-up, and what clients should write in the note: the style they want, or that they'll show a photo at the chair. Clear descriptions mean fewer questions by message and cuts that start on time, whichever barber is on the chair.

No-shows and phone bookings

The booking form takes first name, last name, email and phone, so you have a number to call if a client is late. Clients get a confirmation with a calendar file; Book sends no reminders, so the calendar entry is what reminds them. Whoever answers the phone books callers straight into the right barber's slot from the calendar; with an email entered, the caller also gets a confirmation.

When a barber is off

Clients can't move or cancel online; you move bookings from your bookings list. Rescheduling works across services, so Karim's clients can go to another barber's free slot that day, or to Karim's next day in. Book doesn't email clients about changes, so message each one with the new time, then delete Karim's free slots for the days he's away. All bookings sync to the shop's Google, iPhone or Mac calendar, so everyone works from one diary.

Price

Book doesn't take payments: clients pay at the chair as they do today. Book costs €5/month for the shop, everything included: unlimited services and bookings, no commission, no contract.
