Mobile spray tans: home visits and group bookings
Tanning at a client's home or for a hen party: how mobile spray tan pros can set travel time, book groups one after another and prepare the space on arrival.

Make home visits their own service, with travel built into the slot and the areas you cover in the description, and handle groups in one of two ways: either open consecutive slots on the group's date so each guest books their own, or book the whole group yourself as one booking with the number of people. Ask for the address, parking and a suitable room in the booking note. You then arrive knowing where to set up, and the group moves through without waiting around.
Home visits: travel is part of the job
A spray tan at a client's home takes the same time as in your studio, plus the drive, carrying in the tent and extraction unit, setting up and packing away. If the slot only covers the tan, your next client waits. On Book, each service has a name, a price and an optional description shown on your public page, and each slot belongs to one service with its own start and end:
| Service | Example slot | Example price | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| Spray tan in your studio | 30 min | €30 | At the studio; parking details |
| Spray tan at home | 60 min | €45 | Travel and set-up included; areas covered |
| Group tan at home, per person | 20 min | €30 | Minimum number of people; one booking each |
| Group tan, whole group | 2 h | €180 | Booked by you for the organiser; up to six people |
Lengths and prices are examples: set your own. Say which towns or areas you cover and whether travel further out costs more, so clients outside your zone call first.
What to ask in the booking note
- full address, floor, door code and where to park;
- a room with space for the tent and a socket nearby;
- hard floor or a floor you can cover;
- for events, the date of the event.
The public booking form asks for first name, last name, email and phone, and has that optional note. You get it in your new-booking email.
Two ways to handle a group
Each guest books their own slot. Once you've agreed the date with the organiser, create consecutive short slots on that date under the group service, and send the organiser your booking page. Each guest books one slot, with their own name and email, and gets their own confirmation. You see the order of the morning in your calendar, and a guest who drops out simply leaves a slot free.
You book the whole group. If the organiser prefers to handle it, create one longer slot and book it yourself from your calendar: the organiser's name is required, email and phone optional, and you can set the number of people and add a note with the guests' names. The slot is then full and doesn't show on your page.
Setting up on arrival
For a group, ask the organiser in advance for a room you can use for the whole session, so you set up once. Remind guests, through the description, to prepare as for any tan: clean skin, no moisturiser, loose dark clothes. Leave a few minutes between guests to let each one dry before dressing.
Planning your days
Mix studio and home visits by keeping them on different half-days, so you're not driving back and forth. Create your home-visit slots on the weekdays you choose, repeated until an end date, and add group dates as they're agreed. Groups before weddings and hen parties may cluster around weekends; weekday mornings can suit home visits for people who work from home.
Clients can't move bookings online: they contact you, and you move or cancel from your bookings list. Book doesn't email them about changes, so confirm yourself. Book doesn't take payments, so say how and when clients pay. Book costs €5/month, everything included: unlimited services and bookings, no commission, no contract.
