Online booking for software developers

Plenty of software developers are employed, and their calendar belongs to their team. The bookable part of the job starts when you sell your time directly: consulting for companies that need an experienced eye, mentoring developers who are learning, or running sessions with a team. Here, time is the product, and each hour has to be scheduled with someone.

These sessions don't fit in a quick message. A consulting call needs context; a mentoring session happens every week at the same time; a code review needs the repository shared beforehand. A booking page puts all of that in one place and keeps you in charge of when you're available.

On Book, each type of session is a service with its own description, and a price if you want to show one. You open slots for each at the length it takes, only when you choose. Use the description to say how you'll connect, what to share beforehand (a repository, a design doc, a list of questions) and what the client gets after. Clients add a note about their stack and goals when they book.

For mentees and retainer clients, repeat slots weekly and book them in yourself from your calendar, so the same hour is kept for them each week.

Clients book without an account, with their name, email and phone, and get a confirmation email. You get an email for every new booking. Reschedule or cancel from your bookings list and let the client know. Book doesn't create video links, track hours or send invoices. It costs €5/month, everything included: unlimited bookings and services, no commission, no contract.
