Group ski lessons by level: places, weeks and children

Create one service per level, give each group slot the number of skiers you can safely teach at that level, and let each skier book one place. For a course that runs every morning of a holiday week, one slot on the first day stands for the whole week, with the dates and times in the description. When a group is full, it disappears from your page, and families can pick another level or week. This keeps groups homogeneous and stops a beginner from landing in a group that skis red runs.

Levels, places and prices are examples. On Book, each service has a name, an optional description and a price, and each slot has its own capacity. A slot sits within one day, so a five-day course is booked through its first day, and the description gives all five dates and times.

Families choose the level from the service name and description, so make it concrete:

If you use a national level system that families know, name it in the description too. Ask parents to write the child's last level or badge in the note, so you can check the group before the first morning.

Set each slot's capacity to the group size you're comfortable with for that age and level. Each skier who books takes one place, and when the last place is booked, the group is hidden. Your page doesn't show how many places are left. If you want room to move a child who turns out to be in the wrong level, keep one place free by setting the capacity one below your maximum, and use it yourself when needed.

A week-long course builds a group that progresses together, and one booking covers it. Some families only stay three or four days, though. For them, you can also run daily groups: create one slot per day of the week, repeated from Monday to Friday until the Friday, as a separate service such as "Adult group, single morning". Each day then has its own places, and a guest can book the days they're there. Keep weekly courses and daily groups at different times or with different instructors, so a group isn't counted twice.

If you teach groups in the morning, the afternoons can stay open for private lessons. Build that pattern once for the holiday weeks. A family whose child needs extra help can then book a private hour in the afternoon, next to the morning group.

Parents book, one booking per child: the public form books one place at a time. Ask them to book in their own name and write in the note:

You receive an email for each new booking with the note, and parents receive a confirmation with a calendar file for the first day. Put the meeting point, drop-off time and pick-up time in the description, since the booking only shows the first day's slot.

If fog or wind cancels a morning, say in the description how you make up for it. When you move or cancel a group from your bookings list, Book doesn't email families, so message each parent yourself; the phone numbers are in each booking. If a family leaves early, nothing needs to change in Book: their booking covered the week.
