The shape of a ski instructor's season
Independent ski instructors live on a short, intense season. School holidays sell out weeks in advance, weekends are busy, and quiet weeks in January or March need filling. Families book a private instructor for the children every morning of their stay; adults want an hour to work on their technique or a full day off-piste. Some bookings are made before the trip, from home, in the evening.
With the phone in your jacket and gloves on your hands, answering booking requests during the day isn't realistic. A booking page with your real availability lets guests book before they even reach the resort.
Hours, half-days and full days
On Book, each lesson format is a service with its own price and description, and you open slots for each at the length it takes: one or two hours, a half-day, a full day. For small-group lessons, set the slot's capacity to the number of skiers you take; each skier books one place. Use the description for the meeting point, the level and whether the lift pass is included.
Open slots only for the weeks you're working in the resort. Outside the season, your page simply shows nothing.
During the season
