Online booking for horse riding instructors

Riding instructors plan lessons around horses as much as around riders. Each group lesson is limited by the number of suitable horses and the level of the riders; private lessons need a quiet arena; pony sessions for young children and holiday camps fill up on Wednesdays, Saturdays and school holidays; trail rides depend on the weather and the daylight. Regular riders often take the same weekly lesson for a whole season.

Managing all that in a paper diary and by phone is a lot, especially when you're in the saddle or in the arena most of the day.

On Book, each lesson type is a service with its own price and description, and you open slots for each at the length it takes. For group lessons, pony sessions and trail rides, set the slot's capacity to the number of horses or ponies available; each rider books one place, and the slot disappears once it's full. Use the description for the level required, age, and what to wear (boots, helmet if not provided).

Riders or parents book without an account and receive a confirmation email; you receive an email for each new booking. Your calendar syncs with Google, iPhone or Mac. Book doesn't manage horses, livery, memberships or payment. It costs €5/month, everything included: unlimited bookings and services, no commission, no contract.

Your page shows times in your business's time zone, with its name displayed, so there's no confusion for clients booking from elsewhere. To fill a regular week quickly, create a slot once and repeat it on the weekdays you choose until an end date.
