How massage therapists take bookings
A massage session is one of the few appointments where you are fully unavailable for its whole length. For an hour, sometimes an hour and a half, your phone rings in the next room and messages wait. Many massage therapists end up answering bookings between sessions, in the few minutes they should be using to change the linen, air the room and drink a glass of water.
Clients also rarely book on impulse. They look for a free evening or a Saturday morning, compare a 60 and a 90-minute session, and want to know the price before they commit. A booking page answers all of that without a call.
Session lengths and time between clients
On Book, each massage is a service with its own price, and you open slots for each service at the length it takes: 30 minutes for a back and shoulders session, an hour for a relaxing massage, 90 minutes for a long session. Clients pick the massage, see its price and duration, then choose one of its free slots.
You decide where the slots start and end, so you can leave a gap after each session for turning the room around. Nothing forces your slots to be back-to-back.
Studio, home visits or both
Many massage therapists split their week between a room or studio and home visits. You can add a home massage as its own service, with its own price that includes travel, and open slots for it only on the days you're on the road. Clients booking it see exactly what they're booking.
