Online booking for art therapists

Art therapy starts with a first meeting to understand what brings the person and agree on how you'll work together. Sessions then follow at a regular pace, often weekly, using drawing, painting, collage, clay or other materials. Some clients come individually, others join a small group workshop, and children's sessions often involve a parent at the start or at review points.

Materials, set-up and clean-up take time around each session, and phone calls to arrange appointments add to it. A booking page lets clients book within your free slots, so you only set up the studio for sessions that are booked.

On Book, each type of session is a service with its own price and description, and you open slots for each at the length it takes. For a group workshop, set how many places the slot has, matching your table space and materials; each participant books one place. Individual sessions use a slot with a single place. Use the description to say who the session is for, where it happens and whether clients should wear clothes that can get paint on them.

Clients book without an account, with their name, email and phone, and can add a note. They get a confirmation email, and you get an email for every new booking. When a session needs to move, you reschedule or cancel it from your bookings list. Your calendar syncs with Google, iPhone or Mac. Book doesn't keep session notes or client records, and doesn't take payments. It costs €5/month, everything included: unlimited bookings and services, no commission, no contract.
