How car electronics installs are booked

Electronics installs are planned jobs with fairly predictable lengths: an hour for a dashcam, two for parking sensors or a reversing camera, more for a full audio system. The time depends on the car, so knowing the make and model in advance helps you judge the slot and bring the right harness or adaptor. Many customers buy the device themselves and want it fitted properly; others want you to supply it.

A booking page lets drivers choose the install and the slot, and add their car details so you arrive prepared.

Installs by length, details in advance

On Book, each install is a service with its own price and description, and you open slots for each at the length it takes. Use the description to say whether the device is supplied or brought by the customer, what's included (wiring, testing) and how long the car stays with you. Drivers can add a note with make, model, year and the device they've bought. If you have two bays, set two places on a slot; each driver books one.
