Booking in automotive services
Garage work is a mix of planned jobs and surprises. Services, oil changes, seasonal tyre swaps and windscreen repairs can be planned days ahead and take a predictable amount of time. Diagnostics and repairs after a warning light are harder to size until the car is on the lift. Drivers want to know when to drop the car off and roughly how long it will stay.
A booking page handles the planned part: drivers pick a service and a slot, you see what's coming in each day, and the phone rings less often while you're working.
Slots by job, places by bay
On Book, each job is a service with its own price and description, and you open slots for each at the length it takes. If you have several bays or lifts, set the number of places on a slot to match: two bays, two places, and each driver books one. Use the description to say what's included, whether a courtesy car is available and what the driver should bring, like the service book or locking wheel nut key. Drivers can add a note with the make, model and registration.
