Online booking for furniture restorers

Restoration starts with looking at the piece. A wobbly chair can be judged on the workshop floor in a few minutes. A large wardrobe, a dresser that won't fit in a car or a set of dining chairs usually means a visit to the client's home first. Either way, the work itself is agreed after you have seen the piece and given a quote: stripping, veneer repair, re-gluing, polishing or upholstery can take days or weeks, and none of that fits in a booking slot.

What does fit in slots is everything around the work: the first look, the drop-off, the collection with a van, the delivery back and the day the client comes to pick up. Those are the moments that otherwise mean phone calls and messages while your hands are covered in shellac.

On Book, each kind of appointment is a service with its own description, and a price if you want to show one. You open slots for each at the length it takes. Use the description to say what to bring (photos, the piece's history, any missing parts) and roughly how long restoration takes in your workshop. Clients can add a note with the type of piece and what's wrong with it, and their address for a home visit. For collections and deliveries, open slots only on the days you have the van out.

Clients book without an account, with their name, email and phone number, and get a confirmation email. You get an email for each new booking. You can reschedule or cancel from your bookings list and let the client know, and your calendar syncs with Google, iPhone or Mac. Book doesn't write quotes, track restoration jobs or take payments.
