Online booking for radiographers

Private radiology and imaging practices see a steady flow of scheduled examinations: plain X-rays, ultrasounds, mammograms, bone density scans, dental and joint imaging. Each examination type needs its own room or machine, its own length and sometimes its own preparation: fasting before an abdominal ultrasound, a full bladder for a pelvic scan, no deodorant before a mammogram, a prescription to bring for almost everything.

Most of the organising lands on reception, by phone, between patients at the desk. A booking page moves the routine part online: the patient picks the examination, reads how to prepare, and chooses a free time.

On Book, each examination is a service with its own price and description, and you open slots for each at the length it takes. The description is where the preparation instructions go, so the patient reads them before booking: fasting, what to bring, what to wear, how early to arrive. You decide which examinations are bookable online; complex or urgent requests can stay on the phone.

If an examination uses a specific room or machine, open its slots only when that room is free. Slots of different services can overlap, so plan each machine's time yourself rather than opening two examinations on the same equipment at the same hour.

Patients book without an account and receive a confirmation email; you receive an email for each new booking. When a patient needs to change, reschedule or cancel from your bookings list and the slot is offered online again. A patient who has read the preparation notes before booking arrives ready, so fewer examinations have to be postponed on the spot.

Book is a booking page: it doesn't handle images, reports, records or payment. It gives your practice one booking page, not a separate calendar per radiographer. It costs €5/month, everything included: unlimited bookings and services, no commission, no contract.

Your page shows times in your business's time zone, with its name displayed. To fill a regular week quickly, create a slot once and repeat it on the weekdays you choose until an end date.
