Where appointments fit in translation work
Most of a translator's time is focused work on texts, and the price is usually set per word or per page after seeing the documents. Appointments still matter around that work. Business clients want a short call to explain the context, the audience and the deadline. Private clients needing certified translations of birth certificates, diplomas or court papers often come in person to drop off or show originals and to collect the stamped result. Larger projects benefit from a terminology briefing before you start.
A booking page lets clients book those short moments on the slots you choose, instead of arriving unannounced or calling during your focus hours.
Calls, drop-offs and collections
On Book, each type of appointment is a service with its own description, and a price if it's charged, and you open slots for each at the length it takes. Use the description to say which languages you work with, what documents to bring and whether originals are needed. Clients can add a note with the language pair and document type. The translation itself isn't booked by the hour; you quote it after seeing the documents.
