Online booking for disc jockeys

A DJ's calendar has two layers. The event dates themselves, weddings, birthdays, company parties, are booked weeks or months ahead and take a whole evening. Around them come the conversations: a first call to check the date and budget, then a meeting to plan the music, the key moments and the timing. Many DJs also teach mixing or rent their time for shorter daytime sets.

Enquiries arrive through Instagram, email and word of mouth, often while you're playing. A booking page lets clients book the first call on the slots you choose, and gives you a clear list of who's asking about which date.

On Book, each type of booking is a service with its own description, and a price if you show one, and you open slots for each at the length it takes. Open enquiry calls for new clients and book the event date yourself from your calendar once the contract is signed. Each slot sits within one day, so a set that runs past midnight can't be one slot; book it until midnight and note the real finish time in your calendar. Use the description to say what's included: sound system, lighting, travel area, set length.

Clients book without an account, with their name, email and phone, and can add a note such as the event date, venue and number of guests. They get a confirmation email, and you get an email for every new booking. Reschedule or cancel from your bookings list and let the client know, and sync your calendar with Google, iPhone or Mac. Book doesn't sign contracts or take payments or deposits. It costs €5/month, everything included: unlimited bookings and services, no commission, no contract.
