Online booking for carpenters

Carpentry is mostly project work: a roof structure, an extension, a deck or a pergola, planned over several days or weeks. Every project starts with a visit to see the site, take measurements and discuss materials before you write a quote. Around those projects come smaller jobs, like hanging a door, fixing a stair or fitting shelves, which fill gaps between larger work.

Quote requests come in while you're on site, and arranging each visit takes several calls. A booking page lets customers book the visit themselves on the days you set aside for them.

On Book, each visit or job is a service with its own price and description, and you open slots for each at the length it takes. Use the description to say what you'll look at during the visit and what the customer should have ready, such as plans, photos or an idea of budget. Each slot sits within one day, so multi-day projects are scheduled after the quote is accepted, not booked online.

Customers book without an account, with their name, email and phone, and can add a note with their address and project. They get a confirmation email, and you get an email for every new booking. Reschedule or cancel from your bookings list and let the customer know, and sync your calendar with Google, iPhone or Mac. Book doesn't write quotes or invoices, or take payments. It costs €5/month, everything included: unlimited bookings and services, no commission, no contract.
