Online booking for locksmiths

A locksmith's day has two sides. Emergencies, like a lockout, a key broken in the lock or a door forced during a break-in, need someone quickly and always start with a phone call. Planned work is different: people change locks when they move in, add a deadbolt after a neighbour's burglary, upgrade a door or ask for a quote before a renovation. Those jobs can wait a few days and are easy to book.

When planned work also comes in by phone, it competes with emergencies for your attention. A booking page takes it off the phone: customers pick a slot and describe the door and lock in a note.

On Book, each job is a service with its own price and description, and you open slots for each at the length it takes. Use the description to say what's included and what isn't, such as the lock itself, and what the customer should check before you come, like the lock brand or the door thickness. Customers can add a note with their address and a description of the door, so you arrive with the right parts.

Customers book without an account, with their name, email and phone. They get a confirmation email, and you get an email for every new booking. Reschedule or cancel from your bookings list and let the customer know, and sync your calendar with Google, iPhone or Mac. Book doesn't handle emergency call-outs, write quotes or invoices, or take payments. It costs €5/month, everything included: unlimited bookings and services, no commission, no contract.
