Online booking for smart home installers

Smart home work ranges from single-device installs to whole-house projects. A thermostat, a video doorbell or a few smart switches can be done in a visit of an hour or two. Larger projects, like lighting scenes across a house, blinds, alarms and a reliable Wi-Fi network to tie it all together, start with a survey to check wiring, compatibility and coverage before quoting.

After the install, many customers need a session to learn the app, set routines and add family members. A booking page covers all three steps: survey, installation and handover, each with its own length.

On Book, each visit type is a service with its own price and description, and you open slots for each at the length it takes. Use the description to list which brands or systems you work with, what's included, and what the customer should have ready, such as the Wi-Fi password and the devices they've already bought. Customers can add a note with their address and what they want to automate. Multi-day projects are scheduled after the survey, since each slot sits within one day.

Customers book without an account, with their name, email and phone. They get a confirmation email, and you get an email for every new booking. Reschedule or cancel from your bookings list and let the customer know, and sync your calendar with Google, iPhone or Mac. Book doesn't write quotes or invoices, sell hardware or take payments. It costs €5/month, everything included: unlimited bookings and services, no commission, no contract.
