How notary appointments are organised
A notary's calendar is shaped by life events: buying or selling a home, getting married, writing a will, settling an estate, setting up a company. Each starts with a meeting to understand the situation and list the documents needed, then continues with drafting, checks and, in many cases, a signing appointment with several parties around the table. Many acts are charged under a regulated scale, and first meetings to explain the steps are often part of the service.
Much of your staff's time goes on the phone arranging those first meetings. A booking page lets clients book them directly, while signings, which depend on the file being ready and all parties being available, stay booked by your office.
First meetings online, signings from your office
On Book, each type of meeting is a service with its own price and description, and you open slots for each at the length it takes. Use the description to list the documents to bring, such as ID, title deeds or the family record book, and explain what happens next. For signings, book the slot yourself from your calendar once the file is ready; it's then no longer offered online. Clients can add a short note when booking; ask them to keep personal details for the meeting.
