How swimming lessons get booked
Independent swimming teachers usually rent pool time or teach in a private pool, so every lesson has to fit into fixed lane hours. Children's lessons cluster after school, on Wednesdays and Saturday mornings; adults learning to swim or improving their stroke often prefer early mornings or lunchtimes. Intensive courses during school holidays are popular, with a lesson a day for a week.
Parents send messages to ask about levels, prices and places, and the answers wait until you're out of the water. A booking page lays it all out and lets them book a place directly.
Private lessons and small groups
On Book, each lesson type is a service with its own price and description, and you open slots for each at the length it takes, within your pool hours. For group classes, set the slot's capacity to the number of swimmers you take; each child books one place. Use the description for age, level and what to bring (cap, goggles, a parent in the water for babies).
For holiday courses, open daily slots for the week of the course; parents book each day for their child.
Day-to-day
