Online booking for plumbers

A plumber's work splits into three kinds of jobs. Emergencies, like a burst pipe or a flooded kitchen, need someone today and always come by phone. Planned repairs, such as a dripping tap, a running toilet or a water heater to replace, can wait a few days. And quote visits for bigger projects, a new bathroom or a heating system, lead to work weeks later. On top of that, boilers need a yearly service, which fills the calendar in the months before winter.

The phone mixes all three. A booking page takes the planned work and the quote visits off it, so calls you answer are the ones that can't wait.

On Book, each job type is a service with its own price and description, and you open slots for each at the length it takes: an hour for a boiler service or a tap, three hours for a water heater. Use the description to say what's included, what isn't (parts, extra work found on site) and what the customer should prepare, such as clearing access under the sink. Customers can add a note with their address and the problem, so you bring the right parts.

Customers book without an account, with their name, email and phone. They get a confirmation email, and you get an email for every new booking. Reschedule or cancel from your bookings list and let the customer know, and sync your calendar with Google, iPhone or Mac. Book doesn't write quotes or invoices, handle emergency call-outs or take payments. It costs €5/month, everything included: unlimited bookings and services, no commission, no contract.
